I believe that we will win!..... I believe that we will win!..... I believe that we will win!..... I believe that we will win!..... I believe that we will win!.....

Hello Everyone!
Greetings from I-can't-believe-how-many-people-missed-church-to-watch-the-broncos-game-and-everyone-is-so-obsessed-with-Peyton-Manning- Colorado!  That's right people... my team... we are going to the Superbowl... and I’m so annoyed.  Haha.  I have loved football ALL my life... but being a missionary, it's like .. that's what I'm competing with here... I'm going to start trying to draw gospel principals out of football so that I can use it as a door approach or something... "Hey how's it going, I'm Sister Hunter! How about those Broncos?.... so... yeah.... the Gospel?"  hahaha. I'll fine tune it. Just wait.
We had a week of miracles. We found 5 new investigators and tried to talk to EVERYONE in our path... It is amazing how many people the Lord is preparing.. The Lord really is hastening His work. :)
We were able to teach Patricia.  I just LOVE her!  She loved the message of the restoration and was soo humbled and grateful to get a Book of Mormon for herself that she could read.  I was FILLED with love for that sweet woman. She was planning on coming to church, but had to go to the emergency room instead... so sad!
We had for some reason planned to see an active family in the ward... (headed there we weren't sure why we had...)  and we shared the restoration with them.  I asked the wife what role the Book of Mormon played in her conversion to the Gospel... she said "I have never gotten that feeling that everyone talks about... but the other day I was listening to it, and instead of just being a story, it felt like it was speaking to me.."  She started to cry. She said "I guess that is my answer. I feel it.  I now know it is true. It took you coming and asking me to realize it, but I know!"   Wow!!!! I rarely see someone gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon literally right in front of my eyes. It was such a sweet experience... So I believe in planning... we were right where the Lord needed us.
We had a crummy experience yesterday to go with that goodness.  Someone came up to us and was talking to us. He knew we were sister missionaries... into the convo he talked about how he had removed himself from the religion (which is fine... no worries..) But then he started telling us Anti-Mormon literature and bashing our religion, church leaders, and members.  It was such an icky feeling... Sister Makasini started getting offended that he would do that to her, but I just had to calmly grab her and walk away...  So sad.  All day, I INVITE people to learn for themselves, and to ask God if it is true. I invite them to come to Christ and to use His Atonement.  I never slam anyone's religion.  I never convince by hate and slander.  And for someone to do that to me, it was hurtful.  I know the Lord is Hastening His work, and so is the devil.  All of our testimonies WILL be tried. We will have questions we may not have immediate answers to, but I cannot deny the Spirit I have felt as I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed. Simple as that.
My invitation to you all is to read, and pray. Simple as that.  We can never know too much truth from the Lord... so "ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you."
I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that He loves everyone... even people who hate on me and slam doors in my face... it's ok... they will know some day.  I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I love it and will testify of it til the day I die... and then some.  I know that God loves us and speaks to us today as we pray to Him and seek to listen.
I know that He will win. The Savior WILL win.  And I'm proud to wear His Jersey. That's the game that truly matters.

Twilight Zone .. or something

Hello Everyone!
Greetings from WHY-ARE-THERE-SO-MANY-STRAY-DOGS-RUNNING-AROUND-MONTBELLO?- Colorado!!!
That's right... let's just look at the differences of animal treatment from Tallyn's Reach, to here.... everyone in Tallyn's Reach had dogs dogs dogs.  in their house. nast. didn't like it.  So many people here in Montbello have dogs dogs dogs out of their house, off a leash... running around... don't like it even more. Yesterday we were prevented from going to a house because SIRIUS BLACK DOG was off a leash sitting in the driveway STRAIGHT UP GROWLING AT US!!!!!!  It was madness.  I believe I have angels watching over me... but I also believe I have been blessed with common sense. Stay Away From Sirius Black Huge Mean Dog. ok. can do.
At one house we went to last night... the guy had a watch cat. who watched me get out of the car and walk all the way to the door... so odd....
The work is going well.  We definitely had a week of miracles here.  Heavenly Father really opened up doors for us, and we met some AWESOME and prepared people, and we were able to meet with a lot of our investigators. It was great... but it is always so humbling to remember who is in charge... not me. Seriously.....  I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!
My spiritual thought this week is about time. I used to say "Ain't nobody got time fo dat." (Let's be real, I still say it.) My family will attest to that.  But recently I have really been paying attention to time, and how we use it. One of Satan's tools he uses is that we are SO BUSY these days. So busy. I'm right there with you.  I have been very busy most of my life too.  But really, we make time for what is important to us.  If it is important to us to get our 8 hours of sleep in at night, we will.  If it is important for us to check our Facebook feed 5 times a day, we will.  If it is important for us to have meaningful prayers, we will. If it is important for us to go to the temple once a month, we will. I know life is crazy, but my invitation to you all this week is to really ponder on the things we all do during the day. "Is this something that is bringing me closer to Christ, or farther from Him?"  That is the question.  That is actually the question of this life.  "This life is the time for men to prepare to meet God..."   So do we have time for that?
It's never too late to make time. I know that peace follows.  Always.  As we try to involve the Prince of Peace more in our lives, peace will come!!!  Now I'm not saying we never do anything but read our scriptures... Let's enjoy life. Let's love the things we love. But always ask every day, "Did I come closer to Christ today?"  Because that is true joy, being in the Savior's arms.
I love you. I love my Savior.  I want to always make time for Him. I'm not perfect. Even out here on a mission, I could definitely remember Him more.... So we are all a work in progress.  I love the Gospel! I love being a missionary!

P to the REPARED

Hello Everyone!
Greetings from this-is-the-most-diverse-place-in-the-world Colorado!  I am soo loving meeting people from all different cultures here in Aurora.  It's so wild.
We had a really good week!  I met a lot of people that I know the Lord had prepared them specifically for what we were going to teach them.  We were going to start teaching a lady who once was an investigator and we both felt we needed to teach her the Plan of Salvation.  We sit down in the lesson and were just asking about her background and she said that the night before she had been praying and asking "What is my purpose? What is the point!"  And so we were able to directly answer her question and tell her how much God loves her and wants her to be happy.  The Spirit prompted me to tell her that Satan can imitate a lot of things, but he can't imitate Peace.  That is something that only comes from the Lord.  She started to cry and told me that was exactly what she needed to hear.  Wow! The Spirit is amazing.  The Lord truly does know our hearts and know how to heal our wounds.
My taste in music helped us in the work last week!  We were tracting and a lady came to the door.  I could hear "Let Her Go" - by Passenger playing in the other room.  She was Spanish and couldn't really speak English well and so it was a little awkward... I didn't think she was going to let us in, but then I just said "Oh I LOVE this song!" She invited me RIGHT in and offered me water and we sat and talked.  She had met with missionaries in Columbia and so we offered to have the Spanish sisters come and teach her and she is so excited!  It was a cool experience.
I was able to go on exchanges with a Spanish speaking sister this week and we met a SUPER prepared lady... She spoke Spanish so the sister was going off and I was just smiling and nodding.. haha so funny... but then the Spirit prompted me to testify of the Book of Mormon! So I told the Hermana and she got one out.  We were flipping through the pictures (not a normal thing to do either) and the lady stopped us on one.  The picture of Christ with the Nephites struck her.  She told us that she had seen that in a dream just a few weeks ago.  I told her "I know the Book is true. It will bless your life!" The Spirit was so strong and we all were crying...  the Spanish sisters will go back and continue teaching her. WOW! Heavenly Father really is preparing the hearts of people... we just have to find them, and listen to the Holy Ghost.
My Spiritual thought is something I was pondering this morning.  Why was I born in this age?  Why wasn't I a pioneer?  Or why wasn't I in Jerusalem hanging out with Mary and Martha?  Why was I born now, and why was I blessed to be born to a family in the Gospel?  There are no coincidences.  Heavenly Father needed everyone of us that is here today, to be born in these last days because WE are the ones He needed to prepare those around us for the Savior's coming.  Who knows when it will be... but I know that it will be.  He will come.  And what a wonderful day that will be to see His face.  Hopefully we will be able to share that incredible moment with our family members and friends.  Are we doing all we can to reach out to those around us?  I know I can do more.
My invitation to you today isn't as daunting or epic as thinking about the Second Coming and the Pre-mortal life.... but I just invite you all to simply pray to know who you can reach out to today.  Who can you show the Savior's love to?  That's missionary work.
I love you all and I'm sooo grateful for the love and support that you have shown me!  I really feel so loved !!! thank you so much!!! I hope you all have a great week!!!! til next time!  (sorry this one was lengthy!)
